December 30, 2015 - Returned With Honor!

Valiant Missionaries - Ready to fly home!

SHE'S HOME!!

December 28, 2015

OH NOOO!!!! It is ending!!!! Still doesn't feel real... But I just got out of my last interview with President Hayes, so it must be!! This week we had lots of goodbye visits, hospital visits, Christmas visits, and normal visits... My favorite are the Christmas visits! :) We stopped by with Laura and she made lunch for us. She was home alone and had no family close to visit her. We read the Christmas story together from Luke 2 and talked about how Christ blesses our lives. And then she came to church on Sunday for the first time! And she loved it! :) She is going to do awesome..

Well..... This is weird.... I guess I will just see you all soon... So I will tell you more stories then....

If you can go on a mission, GO! This has been the best experience of my life! I have learned more these past 18 months than I learned in 22 years. I have seen change in my life and in the lives of those around me. It IS worth it.

I love you all and I will see you soon!!! :)

Love,

Hermana Markle

Christmas stockings with Sidney and Stephanie! We took a selfie with a selfie stick... Cool.

Christmas morning! :) With my little tiny baby Christmas tree from last year. :)

Office staff gift exchange!! :) They gave me a sweet mug that says DRINK WATER! And some great Law of Chastity pamphlets... ;)

We boxed in the same square that they box in on Meet the Mormons! Usshhh! We are famous!

Happy middle of December! :)

Yesterday we were out working and we found a member at the bus stop. He offered to follow us around for a few visits, so that was cool! But then all of our appointments fell through. Uncool. We walked a lot and everyone was too busy to listen to us. And then I felt like we needed to stop by a ladies house who had rejected us 2 months previously... So we went. :) And this time she did not reject us! Her husband had died during those two months and she asked us for a blessing. Luckily we still had the member with us and he gave her a beautiful blessing. She has a few Mormon friends, and a giant picture of Christ in her entry-way that is from our church that one of them gave her. Trials are hard, but it helped her get to a point where she is now ready to listen and now knows that she needs her Savior's help. She is super sweet and very willing to act to make her family eternal.

Also, this week we got to go to Concepcion to help with a Zone service project! On the way there I saw Milagro! Cristina and Johel were not home, but it was still pretty exciting! :) They are doing great! They got baptized over a year ago and they are still doing awesome! :) It was nice to see them again. :)

Not really much new this week ... Still running around crazy trying to train all nurse things and area things. I will see you next week on Skype! We had an office birthday party this week for Elder Nielson, that was exciting. We are also going to do an office gift exchange for Christmas as well . . . also exciting.

Well... I guess I will probably see you all soon, so you get short emails now, sorry. :) But I still love you all! :) Have a great middle of December!

Love,

Hermana Markle. :)

December 8, 2015

AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! ONLY 3 WEEKS LEFT!!!!!!! Now I am starting to freak out... I have to train the new nurse to nurse stuff, insurance stuff, ward stuff, area stuff, and other stuff all in 3 weeks! And she is not even a nurse! She is an English Major at BYU... Never had nurse training or wanted to have nurse training in her life... But lucky her! Cause she is getting nurse training! :)

My new companion is Hermana Castleton from Mesa, Arizona. She is awesome. She came with Hermana Gividen, so she just finished her training as well. But she speaks ridiculously awesome Spanish already... I think I stunted Hermana Gividen's Spanish by speaking too much English with her... My bad. ;) And maybe now I will poison Hermana Castleton's awesome Spanish by speaking too much English with her... Oh well.

We already had two hospital trips - just to train the new nurse, ya know. And we found another mountain of Insurance Claims to fill out and submit, so that should be fun. I figure if we spend hours and hours doing insurance claims together, she will be pretty good at them by the time I leave.. :) So I saved her lots. Plus the stolen flash drive didn't help....

We went and saw Delmer again.. Still as awesome as ever. He read 1st and 2nd Nephi in one week! And now he is working on Alma... That should keep him busy. He is only 13. But he loves to read and he loves to learn about the Gospel. He told us he didn't even know another book of scripture existed, but he is so happy to have it now! He didn't even question us if it was real. I love the faith and trust that the youth have... Pure, simple, and ready to learn more always.

We went Christmas shopping yesterday..... That was a bad idea... I bought cool stuff. But probably more stuff for me than for other people... I will probably repent and go buy cooler stuff for other people next week. :)

Well it is almost Christmas and I am pretty excited! :) Everyone is already starting to feel the Christmas Spirit and are being nicer and more open! We are ready for some Christmas miracles and helping people remember the true meaning of Christmas! :)

Stay safe and happy and healthy! I love you all!

Love,

Hermana Markle. :)
Goodbyes to Yoana for Gividen and Martinez!

My new companion! She is the best! :)

Changes week!

We made tamales!!! I feel so cool now!!! :) And they didn't taste half bad. :)
Stockings a member made for us! They love us! But they won't give them to us until Christmas....

November 30, 2015

 Hello!!!

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes! :) It was a GREAT day! :) First, we had a party in the office with Papa John's pizza of course, and I worked a bit there. Then, we worked out in our area for a bit. And then, we went to Hermana Ruth's house in the night time, and she threw me a surprise party!!! :) There were several members there, and the Elders, and an amazing looking cake and yummy treats! They love me too much! :) But I still decided that I am still only 23 years old. :) Maybe next year I will turn 24... We will see..

Oh yeah! We also had a great Thanksgiving dinner with Colby and his family! This was just the week of parties! Lucky us! :) We spoke a whole lot of English, so it felt almost like home. ;)

Bad news time.... :( We had transfers....Hermana Martinez is leaving AND Hermana Gividen is leaving... :( And I will miss them! We have had a great time together and I have learned so much from them! On Wednesday I get my new companion... She will be the next nurse! I am pretty sure it will be Hermana Hill, but I will let you know for sure next week. But now I have 4 weeks to hurry and train her how to be a nurse (she is a CNA) and our area of San Fancisco! We will be working in double time to get it all done! Here we go!

Right now we are working a lot with Myriam's mom.. She is awesome! She came to church last week and loved it! And tonight we are taking her to a Family Home Evening with a member family. Should be good. :)

Well I keep running out of time, sorry... But have a great week! Love you all!

Love,

Hermana Markle. :)
We saw a gecko eating its lunch!
